Senior Product Manager - Data Fabric (m/f/d)

About the role   

Gropyus is developing a state-of-the-art Data Fabric architecture to govern, integrate, and surface complex and critical data that drives Gropyus' business — from building design to factory production to logistics to construction to operations. To support such diverse needs, the Gropyus Data Fabric brings together multiple database technologies and state-of-the-art ontology-based data modelling and governance approaches to enable consistent and reliable access to Gropyus' data for humans and machines alike.  

As the Product Manager for Gropyus Data Fabric, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the technical roadmap for the infrastructure and functionality that powers it. You will work closely with technical and non-technical users to understand their needs, design novel solutions, and drive adoption of the Fabric within Gropyus.  

What You Will Be Doing   

• Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on competing user and business needs, technological advancements, and internal capabilities. 
• Strategic faciliation: Serve as the primary liaison between the development team and technical and non-technical users of the platform, translating complex needs and requirements into clear, actionable development strategies.  
• Research & Development: Prioritise, manage, and operationalise multiple strands of technical research, including state-of-the-art data modelling techniques, new database technologies, and distributed  
• Data Governance & Quality: Ensure the platform adheres to the highest standards of data governance, security, and quality 
• Performance Optimization: Drive continuous performance optimization of the platform 
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering leaders to ensure technical challenges are addressed, facilitating agile development processes and fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement. 
• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis and literature surveys to identify technical trends and opportunities to inform strategic decisions and feature prioritization. 

What We Need To See   

• Advanced degree (BS/MS) in scientific or engineering field (or equivalent professional experience) 
• 5+ years in Product Management 
• Technical Expertise: Knowledge of modern federated data management architectures (data lake, data mesh, data fabric). Experience with ontology-based data governance and  predictive analytics a plus. 
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Analytical Prowess: Strong analytical and project management skills to ensure efficient implementation of strategic initiatives..
