The Opportunity:

The Senior Engineer, Data Integration primary function is to oversee the seamless integration of client data within acute hospital and physician practice settings. Serving as the main point of contact, the position ensures smooth onboarding for new clients, manages the annual data upgrade process for existing clients, and ensuring timely rollout of Ensemble capabilities while also maintaining strong client relationships and driving continuous improvement in data integration procedures.  In addition to managing client onboarding and data upgrades, this role will actively contribute to various integration, HL7 interface, and implementation work streams, leveraging expertise in data management to support the company's broader initiatives and projects. Specializing in Ensemble’s preferred vendor capabilities. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients and existing, overseeing the seamless onboarding process and ensuring successful integration of their data into our systems and rollout of preferred vendors capabilities. 
  • Consult on the annual data upgrade process for existing clients, managing the transition to the latest data extract version and ensuring continuity of service. 
  • Utilize tools such as ADO and Aha! to effectively manage data integration projects, ensuring timelines are met and deliverables are achieved. 
  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring data accuracy and integrity by providing support in conducting thorough quality assurance checks on integrated data sets. Facilitate discussions for resolution of any identified discrepancies, working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to deliver optimal data quality outcomes. 
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and point of contact for inquiries, issues, and resolutions related to data integration. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and enhancement in data integration procedures, driving efficiency and effectiveness in client services. 
  • Act as a liaison between the company's technology team and client IT departments and Vendor Management to coordinate the implementation of company products and preferred vendor capabilities. Facilitate seamless integration and deployment of technology solutions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful implementations. 
  • Attend routine client IT meetings, as needed. 
  • Drives new learning through technology and experience.

Other Skills Required

  • Working knowledge of Healthcare Interoperability Protocols & Frameworks: HL7 v2/v3, X12, FHIR, JSON, etc.
  • Experience developing and maintaining system interfaces in healthcare domain using Cloverleaf Interface Engine or similar integration engines such as Mirth, CorePoint, Rhapsody etc..
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Ability to speak and lead conference calls and meetings. 
  • IT background with understanding of enterprise IT environments 
  • Data integration and IT product implementation experience is desired.
