We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. This position could be with an office based in Paris, Barcelone, or Remotely in Spain, France, Germany & Italy.

You will be part of the Growth line. The mission of this line is to ensure a comprehensive and sustainable approach to business expansion by optimizing user conversions, elevating customer retention strategies, and maximizing our monetization efforts by catering to our user needs effectively.

Stack / Tools: AWS, Terraform, Datadog, Linux, Nginx, Kubernetes, Kafka, Zuora, Redis, Python, NodeJS, Flask/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, 

What will you need to Succeed?
  • 5+ years of professional experience in systems administration, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps.
  • 5+ years background building, maintaining and supporting high traffic web backends.
  • Demonstrable experience developing services/microservices in Python and/or NodeJS.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Redis, Linux, Nginx, Kubernetes and Kafka.
  • Experience building, maintaining and supporting cloud-native web application backends integrated with external systems.
  • Experience with automated testing, automated builds and Continuous Delivery.
  • English fluency.
  • A pragmatic approach to engineering, with a focus on avoiding over-engineered solutions and an understanding of how to maintain high-quality code in a delivery-focused environment.
  • Ability to work with predominantly remote colleagues distributed across EMEA.
  • Desire to work in a respectful, transparent, and collaborative environment that values feedback.

  • Experience with the following is a plus:
  • Python and relational databases.
  • Python, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, Billing, Payments.
  • Experience with resilient design and fault-tolerant systems (every request matters).

  • What will be your Responsibilities?
  • Work in an agile cross-functional team with other engineers, product managers, and product designers to set up and maintain applications and services on AWS.
  • Advance and evolve our modular, distributed growth platform as we launch new products and plans to new global markets.
  • Design, deploy and manage tools and services to ensure a resilient infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with and provide mentorship to other engineers on the development of new microservices.
  • Ensure the implementation of essential monitoring, alerting and backup solutions, with a focus on prioritizing reliability using SLOs (Service Level Objectives).
  • Dedicate a portion of your time to addressing incidents and internal change requests. It's important to note that this role is not exclusively focused on incident management; the majority of your time will be devoted to creating and optimizing our services, tools and infrastructure rather than firefighting.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, monitoring essential application and business metrics.
  • Contribute to and enhance our tech stack, which includes technologies like Python, NodeJS, Flask, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Kafka, and AWS.
  • Plan, develop, test, and release new features and experiments.
  • Engage in pair programming, participate in code reviews, and provide ad-hoc assistance to team members.
  • Collaborate with engineers across the department to identify and implement improvements to our processes and systems.
  • Share your knowledge and insights across the organization through tech talks and internal/external posts.
