Job Description:

Role Summary: 

Reporting to the Director, Marketing Measurement & Acceleration, the person in this role will derive insights from a world class marketing measurement technology stack to address key business questions about Saks’ paid media efficiency and customer value. 

With your strong understanding of digital measurement, you will maintain & develop cohesive analyses across marketing mix modeling (MMM), Adobe Analytics, media testing, and customer data via Snowflake. You will also own the end-to-end data collection for quarterly MMM model development with our third party vendor. This will provide a 360-view of what drives our business and shine light on opportunities to efficiently communicate with our most-active customers.

You will partner with team members from Media Growth, Product Category Pods, and Marketing Analytics by supplying customer and media performance insights that drive business growth. The ideal candidate will be eager to challenge the status quo and tell compelling stories via data.


 

Key Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or a quantitative field like Economics, Mathematics or Statistics. 

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in marketing analytics, customer value analysis, and/or media mix modeling (MMM).

  • 2 to 4 years of experience working with digital media platforms such as Search Ads 360 (SA360), Google Ads, Display & Video 360 (DV360), The TradeDesk, and Facebook Business Manager. Experience with podcast measurement is also a plus.

  • 2+ years’ experience working with Adobe Analytics, specifically in analyzing site performance for marketing channels

  • Knowledge or past experience working with digital media - planning & execution, strategy, measurement. Knowledge of ad tech platforms environment is a plus.

  • Experience collecting MMM data from marketing and business partners, preferably in Retail. Experience with marketing attribution models is also a plus.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills, leveraging data to answer business questions.

  • Experience with SQL and querying data from a cloud environment. Snowflake experience is preferred.

Role Description:

  • Analyzes and triangulates data narratives into cohesive stories across three measurement outputs:

    • Quarterly marketing mix model (MMM)

    • Monthly customer lifetime value (LTV)

    • Weekly site analytics

  • Assesses media efficiency to inform media budget planning and media test ideation

  • Identifies opportunities for media scale, shifts, and A/B tests

  • Collaborates with stakeholders across the marketing team to operationalize customer lifetime value

  • Informs site traffic forecasts based on past performance, planned budgets, and promotional calendar

  • Guides quarterly marketing mix model data collection, including pulling data from media platforms, requesting data from internal stakeholders, and validating data accuracy

  • Builds paid media optimizations on a quarterly basis to inform budget and demand forecasts

  • Develops new and creative ways to evaluate marketing performance in an effort to innovate marketing optimization
