Job Overview:

Ivans, a division of Applied Systems, is currently seeking a Product Operations Manager to play a critical role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our Ivans product management processes. Ivans is where the insurance industry comes together to grow their businesses. The Product Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Ivans’ product operations, including project management, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, combined with proven experience in operations and leadership. The role is highly cross-functional and requires someone who enjoys navigating ambiguity, working in a fast-paced environment, and collaborating with teams across the organization.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline and optimize product development processes, from ideation to launch.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to establish and monitor OKRs and KPIs to track trends across the portfolio.
  • Track core business and performance metrics related to the product success and partner with data analytics teams to build a comprehensive perspective throughout the product life cycle.
  • Deliver data-driven dashboards and reporting that can be used by the product management function to improve product decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, technology, UX, sales, customer success, support, marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination.
  • Standardize processes to gather, aggregate, and synthesize various sources of internal and external input to generate insights that can be leveraged during quarterly planning.
  • Improve how we act on feedback from the market to inform product planning.
  • Assure product teams meet operational readiness/launch criteria and communicate to the organization accordingly.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies that may impact product development timelines and deliverables.
  • Encourage learning, innovation, and adaptation to emerging industry trends.
  • Set up and manage learning & development opportunities and onboarding programs to support Product Management teams.
  • Mentor and coach Product Management teams on best practices, tools, and techniques to facilitate efficient delivery of high-quality software.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the product operations team and across the organization.
  • Drive optimization efforts of key tools and resources used by the Product Team (e.g., PowerPoint, Confluence, Jira, Pendo, etc. )
  • Performs other duties as assigned by immediate manager or management team.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems office
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

 Your experience should include some or all of the following:

  • 7+ years of product management/ technical program management/product operations or related experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership role within product operations or technical program management preferably at a technology or software company
  • Experience building and communicating roadmaps in collaboration with the market, internal teams, and executives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence technical and business decisions and drive alignment across teams.
  • Experience utilizing data analytics tools (i.e. SQL, Tableau, Excel, Google Looker, PowerBI) to interpret data/metrics and make recommendations.
  • Experience utilizing and implementing best practices with Product Team tools such as PowerPoint, Confluence, Jira, Pendo, etc.
  • Strong understanding of product development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) and project management principles
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment and deliver results under tight timelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the areas of Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines
