Your missions

For our Client we are looking for Lead SRE/DevOps Engineer 🔹

The position is based in Warsaw, Poland and you will be working remotely in a global environment. Nevertheless, you must expect that, core meetings or workshops occasionally take place in Danish or Polish office. We also expect 2 weeks long onboarding in Copenhagen and travel to Copenhagen twice a year + 2-3 times per year for 1-2 days to Warsaw or Poland as an offsite. First day at work is also in Warsaw office (we are providing laptop and phone).

We’re looking for a Senior SRE/DevOps engineer to help our client developing and maintaining our internal tools and monitoring. You’ll be a part of the team, where they focus on high value creation and innovation.

As an SRE/DevOps engineer you will play a central role in defining, implementing and maintaining infrastructure and tools for our engineers.

✔️Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining scalable, highly available, and secure cloud-native platforms/services,
  • exercise your problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions,
  • logging, telemetry, and driving improvements in CI/CD and observability,
  • be responsible for our CI/CD processes on GitHub Actions and ADO, focusing on quality, efficiency, and automation.
  • ensuring that the products you support are continuously improving in code, security, and reliability. These improvements should be spread across the teams you interact with, so that you lift the bar of our product standards.

Furthermore, you will:

  • Continuously develop your professional knowledge and skills through participation in external industry events such as seminars, conferences and publishing activities, and
  • share knowledge with your colleagues through demos, co-development, and sparring, ensuring that expertise is spread across the team to enable collaborative ways of working.

✔️Qualifications and background

We’re looking for someone with the following background:

  • Bschelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field,
  • Solid experience (best 7+ years) working within SRE/DevOps in AWS and/or Azure cloud tools,
  • Knowledge of SRE and DevOps principles,
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and working with modern build, test and deployment tools, ideally in large organisations in both ADO and GitHub,
  • Experience with Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) or Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation, infrastructure as code and infrastructure as data. Preferably working with Terraform, cdk or other IaC tools,
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Experience with monitoring, e.g. using Grafana and OTEL
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, TypeScript, Go or Rust.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The client is growing to meet demand from our stakeholders, so they need extra colleagues to succeed with their journey and ambitious vision.

They do data acquisition and ingestion; data analysis and data engineering; evangelising the use of data and advanced analytics; and supporting data science users of our platform. They are cloud native and work on both AWS and Azure. They deliver solutions using Scrum framework. They have built and are operating the enterprise data lake, data mesh and data science platform to support our vision, which is to be able to deliver world class management and enablement of data.
