External Job Description:

As our Sr. Project Manager, you will join our newly established Enablement Office (EO) and become a part of our project management pillar. You will be  be positioned on multiple complex projects to lead and execute a portfolio of work. In your partnership, you will manage project planning, estimating, scenario planning, and detailed scoping multi-workstream programs working with the relevant capability leaders at GMR. To thrive in this role, you will have a solid understanding of and experience leading a team of project managers. This role will allow you to utilize a mix of leadership, organizational, and communication skills, making every day unique and exciting.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Program Leadership. You are an experienced project manager with skilled in project planning, estimating, scenario planning, and detailed scoping of multi-workstream programs. You will work with project owners to manage the day-to-day operations, plan, and forecast for the future, and maintain project and financial reporting procedures across the projects. 
  • Program Management. You will proactively identify at-risk projects, address issues and escalate issues, and manage end-to-end workflows and change management for assigned portfolios. You will create project estimates and SOWs based on subject matter experts' (SME) input. You will also monitor project financials to identify potential overruns, take corrective action when needed, and develop program roadmaps and tactical plans.
  • Team Development. You will lead and support a team of talented project managers at different levels and skill sets in executing their projects. You will also participate in the career development of your direct reports, aligning with GMR's team values and goals. 
  • Process Improvement. You can extract critical information, assumptions, and risks to protect the agency and the integrity of the work. You will drive stakeholder engagement plans and communications/working ways approach with project and client teams for clear roles and responsibilities. You will also track learnings, identify opportunities, and implement them for continuous improvement. 
  • Project Management Tools. You understand project and program management concepts and tools such as Agile, Kanban, ScreenDragon, WorkFront, and product management and how to implement them across the workflow.
  • Collaboration. You hold yourself and those on your team accountable, supporting each other to seize opportunities and come to the most innovative and effective process as a team. You will collaborate with the Enablement Office to establish best practice processes that meet client business needs. You will also partner with the Resource Planner to assign team members based on scope, budget, and timeline. 
  • Flexibility. We are a virtual-first team. You thrive in a remote work environment and have the flexibility to work across multiple time zones, domestically and/or internationally.

The annual range for this role varies between $70,000- $90,000 and may vary depending on the candidate’s experience. Benefits for this role include health/vision/dental insurance, 401k, employee stock purchase plan, vacation, personal days and paid holiday time. You are also eligible to participate in disability, life insurance, FSA/HSA plans subject to the terms and conditions of such benefit plans.
