As we continue to grow, we are seeking a visionary Engineering Manager to lead our technology division and elevate our product offerings.

Profile Overview

As the Engineering Manager, you will spearhead the development and technological innovations at Keyword.com. You will build and lead our engineering team, overseeing all aspects of software development, from strategic planning to execution. Your leadership will ensure that our technology not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our customers and remains at the cutting edge of the SEO industry.

Your immediate impact in the first 3-6 months will be:

  • Taking over the management of the development team and development processes
  • Consolidating documentation on the app
  • Take over the sprint planning and implementation in conjunction with existing Project Manager
  • Create a plan and implement the transition from an external agency to our new in-house development team.
Your responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering team during the development and implementation of software solutions, ensuring high-quality code and alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager (the CEO for now) to define and execute the product roadmap, ensuring optimal alignment of technology with business objectives.
  • Make pivotal decisions regarding the selection, development, and deployment of technological tools and frameworks.
  • Manage sprint planning, allocation, implementation, and retrospective analysis to optimize team workflows and productivity.
  • Oversee the architectural integrity and maintain the high scalability and reliability of our systems.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the team to stay ahead of industry trends and explore new technologies that could enhance our product offerings.
  • Develop and manage the department’s budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize innovation and productivity.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and testing procedures.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to meet their goals.
  • Serve as a technical and business advisor to other departments, helping them understand and implement technology solutions in line with their objectives.
What You bring to the table
  • Experience as an Engineering Manager or Head of Engineering or similar leadership role in a technology-driven organization. Outstanding people skills and willingness to sharpen your leadership skills even without similar titles can be an option too. 
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Familiarity with our Tech stack: PHP, vue.js, Github, AWS, Kubernetes, Cloudflare, MySQL
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional tech teams.
  • Familiarity with modern programming languages, tech stacks, and software development best practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
