Job Title: Finance Business and Systems Requirements Manager

Job Summary

The Finance Business and Systems Requirements Manager is tasked with managing, ownership of business system requirements, and collaborating with the EBS team on implementation. This includes leading projects like introducing new financial tools and systems. The position reports directly to both the VP Corporate Controller and VP of Finance.

What You Will Do As A Business Systems & Requirements Manager

  • Owns the requirements for the business systems (basically defining “what” the system should do) and be a partner with the EBS (Enterprise Business System) team around implementation.
  • This new role will own the what, and EBS will own the how. This will be a collaborative relationship to build and execute against a roadmap and provide project assistance while managing day-to-day new requests and issue prioritization
  • Also, own user acceptance testing for the business to sign off on what gets built
  • Establish a separate intake process for the following items: (i) bugs/maintenance, (ii) projects, and (iii) reporting.
  • Manage the resolution of (i) bugs/maintenance, (ii) projects, and (iii) reporting.
  • Create and manage a Reporting Administration plan for new dimensions.
  • Create and manage a Management Reporting Framework and Data set.
  • Build a roadmap for stabilization.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including finance executives, business leaders, management, accounting teams, IT departments, and external vendors or consultants as necessary.
  • Identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement withing existing financial systems processes and procedures.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

 

What You Will Bring As A Business Systems & Requirements Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or systems
  • Experience with ERP Systems (NetSuite, Oracle, Workday).
  • Experience running and updating Allocation engines and their relevant studies
  • Experience with Data Reporting cubes such as Smartview or Essbase
  • Ten years of Finance or Accounting experience
  • Five to Seven years of System Administration and or Reporting.
  • Experience with finance data sets to support KPIs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to problem solve and analyze complex information and reach clear, concise conclusions and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, virtual environment requiring self-motivation and adaptability.
  • 2-3 years of insurance experience is nice to have

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member 

Pay Range*: $84,000.00 - $118,000.00 annually 

*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.  

Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
