Job Description:

Are you a Technical Program or Product Manager who has deep technical expertise with Jira and Confluence or an Atlassian Admin (specifically Jira and Confluence) who wants to move to the next level? We’re looking for someone who has a point of view about how we should utilize and optimize our use of Jira and Confluence at Phreesia. We’re looking for a motivated, highly adaptable individual to join our Platform Product Management team. You will be working alongside users from Phreesia’s internal business teams to ensure alignment with best practices and management of our Atlassian Jira and Confluence instances.

In this role, you’ll manage end-to-end use of these business-critical applications including gathering requirements, architecting solutions to solve new business needs, and providing maintenance, support, documentation, and training. You will be responsible for driving adoption of best practices and usage patterns that align with industry standards.

Problems you’ll get to solve-

  • We have nearly 3k users across 10+ business groups all using the tool in significantly different ways. How would you identify areas that would benefit from standardized usage patterns? How would you position the benefits of these changes to the leadership? How would you implement and roll out the changes?
  • In working with a team you see areas where they’re not operating in an efficient manner or a manner that doesn’t align with best practices. How will you work with this team to help them be more efficient?
  • The Program Management team is rolling out a company-wide report on Initiative completion. How will you work with them to ensure that they are best using the tooling to deliver successfully?

What You’ll Do-

  • Own management and operations for Jira and Confluence.
  • Prioritize and oversee product backlog for operational upgrades/updates to Phreesia’s Atlassian tool suite.
  • Design, architecture, implementation, and documentation of Atlassian solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Administer, configure, and support Atlassian tools, which may include some or all of the following: projects, spaces, permissions, users, roles, reporting, workflow, custom fields, issue security, scripting, add-ons, REST API.
  • Work with end-users and business leadership to provide meaningful operational/performance data and metrics.
  • Develop or improve best practices and ways to optimize Atlassian tool usage.
  • Help guide and maintain the organization of data in Jira.
  • Provide scheduled and ad-hoc demos and trainings of all Atlassian tools.
  • Assess/implement requests for add-ons to meet org needs.
  • Work with budget owner(s) to recurring ensure license fees are funded and implemented.
  • Support integrations between Jira and other elements of the product development toolchain.
  • Partner with various teams on Atlassian tool performance improvements and needed upgrades.

What You’ll Need-

  • 5+ years of experience in administration, configuration, and support of Jira and Confluence.
  • Have a true passion for improving process through technology.
  • Experience supporting common Jira add-ons (Scriptrunner, Advanced Roadmaps, etc.)
  • The ability to write custom and advanced queries with JQL and construct custom dashboards using various filters and gadgets.
  • Analyze and review current functionality to identify potential areas of improvement.
  • Strong drive for results, effective work ethic, strong time management skills, and attention to quality and detail.
  • Enjoy working with diverse teams with a collaborative attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Deep interest in user experience, creating products and experience analyzing complex product data to make decisions. 
  • The ability to work independently valuing accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice to Haves-

  • Experience with Bitbucket and/or Bamboo administration.
  • Knowledge and experience with Jira on-prem as well as Jira Cloud
