Senior Principal Security Engineer Information Security

Location Details: India, Remote

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-events or offsites. Your hiring manager can share more about this role’s hybrid or remote time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.​

GoDaddy is seeking our next Information Security Leader, who enjoys solving large scale and cross-company issues, whilst ensuring teamwork and partnership with our development and operational communities remains front of mind. This leader will showcase hands-on technical skills, strong leadership abilities, and an eagerness to craft solutions to sophisticated problems. Owning communication to partners, performing security assessments, and prioritizing security risks and crafting and communicating high-quality work.

What you'll get to do…..

• Lead all aspects of the Product Security Team strategy across our business
• Partner with engineering teams to define our year 1 and year 2 security engineering strategy
• Define the Product Security overarching strategy, using a risk-based approach
• Monitor our company risk reduction, via the Product Security objectives and key results and critical metrics
• Apply your industry experience to own and drive resolution and retesting of sophisticated security events, policy questions and technical security risks

Your experience should include...

• Minimum of 10+ years of dynamic security engineering experience
• Problem-solving with superb communication skills and a deep technical understanding of security engineering methodologies
• Experience leading company-wide Product Security programs
• Experience in Secure Development Lifecycle and Shift Left with a Security by Design methodology
• Expertise in multiple security domains, including, but not limited to, Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network Security, Cloud Security, Mobile Security and Web Security
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell)
• Experience applying security engineering methodologies that align with security and privacy compliance requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Hosting Industry Experience
