Role Mission: The mission for the Registrar is to achieve 95% average daily attendance, 100% verified registration, maintain 100% data accuracy and 100% compliance with Kairos Academies’ attendance procedures. The Registrar organizes all of the campus operation tasks with key stakeholders and executes campus operation processes that bind to our student information system (PowerSchool).

What You’ll Do – Accountabilities:

97.50% ADA for Middle & High School

  • Owns the attendance process for Elementary, Middle, and High School Students.
  • Works with students, staff and parents to ensure students attend school every day.
  • Communicates attendance reporting to staff, including Chronic absenteeism, Progress Towards Goal by Day, Absence calculator.
  • Documents all attendance changes and corrects attendance data within 24 hours.
  • Ensure teacher attendance submission is in line with official attendance taking time.
  • Ensures all paper rosters are signed and dated (if applicable)
  • Ensures all attendance report submissions are submitted on time.

100% of Student Records received before the First Week of School (FWOS)

  • Student records are requested timely from other districts.
  • All records requests fulfilled within 10 days.
  • Increase awareness and provide consistent communication with all key stakeholders (PEIMS Data Quality Team –RJC, CHOICE, ELL Coordinator, 504 Coordinator, and Cafeteria Manager)
  • Increase awareness with key stakeholders (including ELL Coordinator, 504 Coordinator, HQ SPED Clerk and SPED teachers)
  • Grade Verification, Re-registration, End of Year tasks, School and Section Enrollment Audits, Transcripts are completed timely and accurately.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. General knowledge of graduation requirements and special programs, student scheduling enrollment/withdrawal, and attendance accounting procedures required.

Language Skills 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, students, and parents.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Computer Skills 

Ability and competence in Microsoft Office applications and ability to use a variety of computer applications and platforms. Ability to use basic office equipment. Also, knowledge and experience in using a computer-based student Information Management system.

Other Qualifications 

Satisfactory criminal records check, pre-hire and annually thereafter, if applicable. Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization.

Starting Salary: From $40,000.00 per year

  • In-person Monday through Friday 7:30am 4:00pm 
    • Some weekends and evenings will be required 

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Saint Louis, MO 63118: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required). Please note, this is not a remote position. All Kairos teachers are required to deliver in-person instruction onsite, in our school in St. Louis.
