Job Summary:

HUB International Limited is looking for an experienced Testing Lead to join our Enterprise Testing Team. As a Testing Lead, you will have the opportunity to work with leading full-service global insurance broker providing property and casualty, life and health, employee benefits, investment and risk management products and services.

In this position, you will be a key player in ensuring that the applications meet requirements and are within total quality management standards. You will be responsible for developing a test strategy, leading, and coordinating the testing tasks which include the analysis, design, implementation, and execution. This role requires good understanding of fundamental software testing practices which will enable them to collaborate with the team and perform manual and automated testing in the most efficient way possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Testing manager to develop test strategy.
  • Design and deliver all testing work, including Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression, and support User Acceptance Testing (conducted by business).
  • Analyze requirements and create test scenarios/test cases by working collaboratively with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Evaluate functional and non-functional requirements for testability, and test cases and use cases for automation feasibility.
  • Create and execute manual test cases as per the project needs.
  • Develop and execute performance tests for our applications as needed.
  • Reproduce, debug, and isolate problems and verify fixes.
  • Coordinate with developers and other responsible teams to drive the resolution of bugs.
  • Support the testing activities of multiple projects and applications as required.
  • Participate in Agile team activities including daily stand-up, release planning, sprint planning and end of sprint ceremonies.
  • Drive innovation/adoption of Industry practices through investigation/institutionalization of new tools/methods/standards.
  • Estimate own testing tasks and work productively with minimum supervision while showing an excellent team attitude.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • 6+ years of industry experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Previous hands-on experience as a Testing Lead working with developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, testers, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in Automation and Manual testing roles.
  • Experience with Insurance domain.
  • Experience using test management, bug tracking and source code management tools (JIRA, Tricentis, Git, Bitbucket, etc.)
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries to validate data changes or troubleshoot issues.
  • Experienced in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver stories independently, communicate bugs and risks.
  • Comfortable working with cross functional teams to keep up with fast paced projects and deliver high quality products to customer.
  • Experience with Test Automation using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Cumber etc. is desired.
  • Experience with Performance Testing using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner etc. is desired.

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline

Although hybrid to a local HUB office is desirable, this position is open to remote candidates.

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 to $135,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
