The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is the nation's leading cancer advocacy organization. Together with our charitable partner, the American Cancer Society, we work in Congress, state legislatures and local jurisdictions to support evidence-based policy and legislative solutions designed to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. Based in Washington, DC with offices throughout the country, ACS CAN works to encourage elected officials and candidates to make cancer a top national priority.

The Survivor Views survey research project advances our mission by ensuring that the views and experiences of cancer patients and survivors are reflected in our advocacy. Web-based surveys are conducted approximately six times per year among ACS CAN’s cohort of cancer patients and survivors. The Survivor Views fellow will assist the project manager in tasks related to panel management, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

This fellowship is appropriate for a graduate student or early-career professional and the schedule will be flexible for the right candidate, with an anticipated 25 to 37.5 hours per week. The fellowship commitment is planned for April-December 2024 with the possibility of continuing next year.
