Software Engineer (React, Groovy)

Job Description:

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our team!

As a Software Engineer – Full stack developer (REACT) on the Medifind team, you will be working on building out the fastest growing direct to customer health information platform in the US. You will be working in a distributed team of talented software engineers, while gaining a deep understanding in different aspects of healthcare industry, specifically healthcare data & technology. You will learn about our users, customers, providers, and architecture while designing, search engine optimizing (SEO), building, scaling, and maintaining complex distributed software products. You will work with architects, product managers and QA engineers to build, test, and deploy our products that help patients find better care, faster.

What You'll Do:

Work on the product features that are used by millions of patients around the world.

• Build and maintain product features using JavaScript, React, Nodejs/Express and Elasticsearch.

• Optimize product performance that exceeds Google’s Core Web Vitals standards.

• Participate in daily stand-up, Sprint Planning, and retrospective meetings. • Participate in peer code reviews, knowledge sharing and assist other engineers in their work.

• Introduce new technologies and best practices as needed to keep product current.

• Maintain software security and quality standards.

• Aid in troubleshooting and resolving production escalations and issues.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable programming experience.

• 2+ years of paid software application development experience building web based applications.

• Highly proficient at programming JavaScript web-apps using React.

• Highly proficient in building responsive web applications using HTML and CSS. • Proficient with developing application server code and REST endpoints using

• NodeJS and Express is a big plus.

• Proficient in using AWS Cloud Services (EC2, S3, CloudFront, ELB, Route53,

• Cognito, and lambda) for web application development
