Does it excite you to help shape the future of agriculture by collaborating internationally and cross-functionally to provide our customers with the most sustainable nutritional solutions? Then Nutreco has the perfect role as Ruminant Director for you!

Stepping into the role of Ruminant Director at Nutreco isn't just a career move—it's an opportunity to lead, innovate, and shape the future of ruminant nutrition. As we embark on the journey to strengthen our market position, we're seeking a dynamic leader with a passion for driving commercial success and navigating the complexities of the industry.

Your primary responsibility as the Ruminant Director will be to develop and implement a tailored commercial strategy for the Ruminant species within the ECA region, in close alignment with the strategic marketing department and the broader organizational objectives. This will involve identifying pockets of growth and turning sustainability challenges into opportunities with strategic foresight.

Leading a team of 190 sales professionals and nutritional specialists, your role extends beyond management to inspire a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Your guidance will empower team members to achieve sustainable success.

Your leadership will be measured by your ability to set and achieve key performance objectives, continuously monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as needed. Stakeholder engagement will also be crucial as you build and maintain relationships across the value chain to foster strategic partnerships and alliances.

In this role you will report to the MD (Managing Director) ECA.

What are your key accountabilities?

  • Sales Profit Growth: Achieving annual sales profit targets for the Ruminant species through effective sales strategies, focusing on our value-added solutions, sustainability impact and market penetration.
  • Market Share Expansion: Increasing market share within key geographic regions and segments by leveraging market insights and competitive intelligence.
  • Profitability Improvement: Optimizing profitability through effective cost management and pricing strategies aligned with business objectives as sustainability and innovation.
  • Team Development: Fostering a high-performance culture within the Ruminant team to drive sustainable success and talent development.
  • Innovation Leadership:  Driving innovation in product development, marketing strategies, and customer engagement approaches to maintain a competitive edge in the market, with a focus on developing value propositions with a clear sustainability impact and becoming an undisputed leader for sustainable solutions to customers.
