Job Description:
Come join a team of excited and engaged data scientists working across a wide array of industries and domains, including weather, agronomic science, refined fuels, marine applications, and transportation infrastructure! DTN is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to work on building generative AI (GenAI) applications for automation in software development processes.
What you will be responsible for:
Design and implement GenAI models and integrations to automate software development processes
Develop innovative GenAI applications for automation of software development tasks
Design and build scalable and efficient pipelines for generating code, regression tests, documentation, prototyping, and applications
Research and evaluate state-of-the-art tools and techniques in GenAI
Optimize generative models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and performance
Create and maintain documentation, training, and best-practice guidance for using GenAI tools and applications
Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning, decision support, GenAI techniques
What you will bring to the role:
Experience with software development in Python, Node.js, or similar
Familiarity with automated testing/quality assurance and front-end development frameworks such as React
Experience building and deploying GenAI applications
Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as PyTorch, Keras, or Tensorflow and the PyData stack and tools such as Pandas, Numpy, and JupyterLab
Experience with version control tools such as GitLab or GitHub
In-depth knowledge of software engineering foundations including agile software development and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
2-5 years of relevant experience in data science, software development with AI applications, or a related field

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $101,250 and $135,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
