Senior Software Engineer

TelevisaUnivision is the leading Spanish-language media company in the world! We’re growing our offerings, building on the launch of our successful streaming platform ViX. 

The API Platform Team at ViX is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team!The API Platform Team’s responsibility is to deliver resilient, low latency APIs that power our many client platforms and partners. YOUR DAY-DAY:
• You will implement API services following best practices and testing standards, including peer reviews and critiques.
• You will participate in delivering API’s that maintain high performance, security and operational excellence.
• You will be working remotely with a multi-disciplinary team across time zones.
• You will be expected to acquire a deep understanding of your assigned system.
• You have a sense of ownership to do the best with the time available and are 
proactive about triaging and prioritizing problems to get fixed
YOU HAVE: (Qualifications, Required Skills & Experience)
• 3+ years of software development experience as a technical individual contributor
• 2+ years of hands-on API and system development.
• 1+ years working in the video streaming space.
• 2+ years of cloud-based development
• Have an understanding of APIs (REST and/or GraphQL).
• A strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts and design patterns
• Proficient in written and spoken English
