We are hiring for a Strategic Initiatives Program Manager to champion our growth and strategic initiatives. This role will report directly to the SVP of Strategic Finance and will steer our top priorities.

LOCATION: This role is a work from home position and can be performed remotely anywhere in the continental US or in our corporate location in Utah.

We are committed to excellence and strategic growth, and we are currently seeking an experienced Head of Strategic Portfolio Management Office to guide our projects and initiatives toward achieving our long-term objectives.

YOU ARE: The Strategic Initiatives Program Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic alignment of project and program management with our corporate goals. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in portfolio management and the ability to influence and drive organizational change. The successful candidate will partner with the Tech PMO, ensuring that all projects and programs are executed effectively and align with our strategic objectives.

Your Day-to-day

  • Oversee all portfolio management activities, including planning, prioritizing, decision-making, metrics reporting, and project management governance
  • Collaborate with the business to develop and implement a comprehensive portfolio management strategy that aligns with the company's strategic and financial goals
  • Prioritizes initiatives and ensures that they are aligned with strategic business objectives
  • Collaborate with leaders and project managers on business case development, resource allocation, budgeting, and forecasting for strategic initiatives
  • Collaborates with the Tech PMO, Business and Finance, to ensure supply of resources meets business demand
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on portfolio performance, providing strategic insights and recommendations to the Executive Team and Steering Committee.
  • Serve as a key liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and executive management, ensuring clear communication and cohesive strategic alignment
  • Implement best practices for portfolio management to achieve operational excellence
  • Maintains portfolio management governance by managing guidelines to ensure consistency, transparency, stewardship, and risk mitigation
  • Establish best practices for portfolio management methodology and tools; Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the portfolio processes; Establish metrics that form foundation of high-performance execution
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and provide regular progress updates
  • Leads with an analytical approach to data, including project budgets, issues, risks, schedules, and resource allocation

You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
  • Master’s degree or relevant advanced certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP) preferred but not required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in portfolio management or related strategic role
  • Proven track record of managing complex project portfolios with successful outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and influencing senior management
  • Proficient in portfolio management software and tools
