Job Title: HEABC Program Director
*Remote role - BC candidates only. Must have the ability to travel easily within the Surrey/Burnaby/Vancouver area of BC*
Salary range: $90,000.00-$120,000.00
As the HEABC Program Manager, you will oversee the HEABC Disability Management Team providing EDMP services to The Health Employer’s Association of British Columbia (HEABC) and other accounts as applicable. The position is full time 40 hours per week and reports to the Director, Occupational Health & Wellness Services (Canada).
Key aspects of the role include:
• Providing strategic leadership and day-to-day account and operational management for the HEABC EDMP Program.
• Managing the HEABC Case Management Team along with hiring, training and coaching
• Working with HEABC and their employer clients to deliver the EDMP Program within their work environments
• Ensuring EDMP policies/procedures are followed and key performance indicators are met and/or exceeded as per the contract
• Preparing quarterly and annual reports for HEABC as per contract requirements
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with HEABC designated contacts, EDMP Employers, unions, healthcare practitioners and treating clinicians.
• Maintain quality assurance standards by developing, updating and monitoring individual employer account protocols and ensuring that the staff assigned are trained in these protocols and establish strong working relationships.
• Evaluate the program and provide recommendations for program improvements
• Conduct file audits and reviews.
• Provide educational sessions to EDMP employers on a range of different EDMP policy and procedure topics.
• Manage a program specific budget.
• Other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in healthcare or disability management and/or experience as a Disability Specialist, Rehabilitation Consultant, Occupational Therapist or Consultant, or any other regulated health care field
• Preferably have experience or training in one of the following areas: disability insurance, life and health insurance or human resources
• CDMP, NIDMAR or other equivalent designation and/or experience (completed or in progress) an asset
• Strong understanding of medical management, healthcare industry, labour issues, regulatory organizations
• Minimum 5 plus years of leadership/management experience in a complex team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer-focused attitude, with the ability to understand, anticipate and identify customer needs
• Strong planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills and are able to work with different priorities and timelines
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite products
• Able to work in a team, but also equally competent on your own
Experience Required:

• Enhanced Disability Management Program – EDMP experience an asset
• Working in both union and non-union environments in Healthcare
