We are looking for a sales leader to join our team in a Senior Vice President, Sales role. The ideal candidate will have team leadership and extensive sales experience in the BPO space. They will be responsible for driving the team to win new logos, crush the team quota, and craft the best deals. This sales leader understands that being a player-coach means that you will have individual quota targets and team quota targets. They understand that one of the best ways to model the behavior you want in your team is to demonstrate it yourself and that player-coach roles are designed to do just this. The SVP of Sales will develop the sales team members while working alongside them to win new logos for Arise. This position reports to the Chief Growth Officer.

 

What you will take on:

  • The SVP, Sales will be accountable and responsible for building pipeline and showing monthly growth in net new opportunities from their team
  • Accountable and responsible for managing and developing the sales team
  • Identify target customers for rapid expansion of the business on your own initiative, from company leads, and via the company’s channel and alliance partners.  
  • Articulate the Arise value proposition with precision and skillfully leverage it to distinguish Arise from its competitor set 
  • Exceed annual sales quotas by closing long-term, multi-year $5m plus ACV deals
  • Collaborate with the current team on strategy and product roadmap 
  • Will “hunt” within the industry to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at the executive level
  • Quarterback deals from inception of lead through sales ops process inclusive of working with the Solutions and Finance team to deliver a custom built solution and associated pricing scheme for prospective customer and will lead contract negotiations.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate key account and portfolio level pipeline and revenue forecasts to company leadership
  • Be ambitious, assertive, and adept at navigating hurdles that present themselves in managing a deal to closure.
  • Take a strategic view of the customer’s set of business issues and consult with each on both current and future opportunities for an Arise engagement.  
  • Be a forward-thinking leader who will proactively advise Arise on new services and opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

  • A driver who works with purpose and passion; someone who will elevate our sales team through new perspectives, ideas, and solutions
  • Proven track record of leading successful sales teams, demonstrating the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop high-performing individuals.
  • Experience establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales team performance and guide decision-making for continuous improvement.
  • Sales experience in the BPO space with demonstrated success developing new business relationships with C-Level decision-makers.
  • In-depth understanding of the sales landscape within the BPO industry, including market trends, competitor analysis, and potential growth opportunities.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives and market dynamics, driving sustainable growth.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in complex, consultative sales roles on large, multi-year outsourcing deals with initial contract value of $5m+
  • Proficiency in optimizing sales processes, from lead generation to conversion, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, resulting in increased revenue.
  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to perform your own lead generation activities, ranging from leveraging your network, conducting cold calls and working with the marketing team to develop vertical specific marketing campaigns, vertical specific collateral, and thought leadership content.
  • Comfortable with understanding the Arise offering and demonstrating capability in articulating concepts like the value proposition and total cost of ownership.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation in sales strategies, leveraging emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices to gain a competitive edge.
  • Understanding and passion for a service business model.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders, motivate teams, and build relationships with clients, partners, and vendors.
  • Experience using Salesforce, Zoominfo, LinkedIn, and Sales Navigator a plus.
  • BS or BA Degree preferred. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
