JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for item creation and maintenance, including pricing management where appropriate, for specified divisions/areas across the United States. This role requires close collaboration with Marketing teams, Purchasing teams, as well as the Suppliers to leverage the information and knowledge to ensure all appropriate regulatory matters and other requirements are met during the item setup and maintenance process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for setting up new items for designated divisions/areas. Prior to processing new item requests, review all incoming new item forms for completeness and accuracy and address any requirements including the item’s regulatory requirement and contractual agreement. Return any incomplete or inaccurate forms to originator for correction.
  • Assists with creating and maintaining item’s sales restrictions related to regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Maintains existing items and address changes upon requests from Marketing teams, Purchasing teams or SKU Optimization team as required. This includes item conversions between stocking and non-stocking statuses based on sales and demand forecast.
  • Resolves item discrepancies by working with the Distribution teams on Product Discrepancy Forms via the online DC Communications tool.  Works with DC Projects manager to ensure item “cold chain” information and location is correct and regulatory to advise on existing inventory and sales of product.
  • Assists in managing the department mailboxes and related inquiries, or when workload is unbalanced between team members, as directed by PDM Supervisor.
  •  Participates in special projects and perform other duties, including item pricing management, as required.  Assists with needed entries in the test environments (Y/D/AQ/EQ) to enable business units testing.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Access preferred.
  • AS400 knowledge helpful.
  • JD Edwards knowledge helpful.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Typically, 2 or more years of related experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

Typically, High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $33,815 to $59,176 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
