ACCOUNT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

You will find EPIC to be a fast‐paced and fun environment and a workplace in which you truly can make a difference!  You will be supporting a Producer with a large and growing book of commercial insurance and surety business. This involves assisting in the management of existing clients and internal account teams activities as well as research and support for his new business production efforts. The book of business includes several large multinational clients, so you will be exposed to clients and partners in London, India, Turkey, Japan, Bermuda, and Europe. He will provide mentorship and on-the-job training to further develop your knowledge of insurance, finance, client service, sales and marketing. The ability to engage in a highly professional manner with clients and colleagues is essential.

Overall Duties Include

  • Maintain master renewal schedule
  • Maintain Producer account compensation organizer; verify that all fees are collected
  • Maintain organized and efficient Producer Team calendar
  • Manage Annual Renewal Strategy Process on every account
  • Manage Annual Stewardship Process / Meeting on “$100K+ Accounts”
  • Maintaining Open Items lists
  • Organize and manage Monthly Open Items Meetings on $100K+ Accounts
  • Certificate holders list maintained / updated
  • Ensuring invoicing is completed correctly
  • Preparing insurance summaries / coverage charts
  • Maintaining policy registers
  • Monitoring subjectivities / policy issuance / endorsement issuance
  • Support surety team administratively while learning how to place surety bonds

Service

  • Coordinate EPIC team members content and art/prose for customized written materials, presentations, RFP responses.
  • Source and perform checks on underwriter pricing estimates and broker / desk quotes on opportunities where that becomes strategically necessary
  • Assist Producer in conceptualizing and planning quarterly client/prospect events. Tactical aspects of partnering with law/accounting/underwriting partners to share in the cost as well as the invitees with law/accounting/strategy firms and insurers when appropriate and useful. Collaborate with Marketing & Communications colleagues in executing the vision, content, and logistics
  • Identify HowdenOne offices, Producers, accounts and prospects to drive inward-bound opportunities
  • Prioritize HowdenOne and international LinkedIn cold call prospects, assist in planning international travel for most impactful opportunities
  • Strategize with Producer on prioritization of suspects and early stage prospects, engagement strategy and execution
  • Strategize with Producer and Sales Assistant on suspect targeting research, analytics and execution
  • Maintain ownership and strategy for Producer social media (LinkedIn) presence, content and engagement
  • Research industries where Producer and EPIC perform well, identifying and prioritizing new suspects and targets. Present to Producer and AM on weekly basis where top 5 targets become suspects
  • Second-level research on Top 5 identifies suspects, aimed at further refinement of Prospect list, coordinating and presenting content to Producer and SA to determine sales process on each
  • Coordinate with AM and EPIC resources on written materials for presentations, RFP responses etc on a tactical and administrative level (print/bind in house and FedEx office when necessary)
  • Responsible for timely, accurate invoicing and monthly expirations
  • Other duties may be assigned

Personal & Organizational Responsibilities

  • Critical administrative functions including Producer travel planning (international and domestic), expense reporting, client/prospect meetings including meals and entertainment
  • Set priorities and manage workflow for self to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of all responsibilities
  • Maintain cordial and effective relations with clients, co‐workers, carriers, wholesalers, vendors, and other business contacts
  • Maintain up‐to‐date proposals, insurance summaries, workflow logs, manuals or other required documentation and records
  • Interact with others effectively utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance as needed to achieve the business goals of the Company
  • Stay informed regarding industry information, new product/program developments, coverages, legislation, technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance
  • Administrative aspects of client/prospect events including securing space, executing on invitation lists, invitation creation, quality assurance, distribution and RSVPs
  • Other duties may be assigned

Requirements : 

  • College Degree or equal to experience (2-4 years of insurance industry experience)
  • Current/Active Georgia Property & Casualty license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
  • Proficiency with a variety of Microsoft Office computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and LinkedIn
  • Must be able to work in a fast‐paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
