AUSTIN, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - Westlake entrepreneurial family seeking a FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER for their 2 amazing children; a 4-year-old boy and a 1.5-year-old girl. Hours are roughly 9 am - 6 pm Monday - Friday. The family will guarantee 40 hours/week and can provide flexibility for the right candidate.
Both parents work from home and the executive assistant works in the home with the family as well. The parents have created boundaries for the children and they understand when the parents are “working” and unavailable. The perfect candidate needs to have good judgment and the ability to make decisions with a health-conscious mind. The children have been Montessori-focused and would love a candidate who can continue those practices in the household. The family wants to nurture their children to be independent and strong.
Duties include running errands, feeding and cooking for the children, doing the children’s laundry, and picking up after the children, light housekeeping, helping keep the kitchen and public spaces cleaned, organizing the children's clothes/rooms, stocking and ordering children's items as needed, and helping mom keep the household running smoothly. Other duties that would be a bonus, not required, are meal prepping and cooking. The family has a weekly housekeeper who comes to the home.
The children are both in preschool during the week. The oldest is in school M-F, and the youngest is in preschool M/W/F until 12 pm. During those hours, the Mom would love to see if the candidate could complete household management tasks or if the candidate is willing, help Mom with her social media accounts. The mom would love a candidate who is open to helping her on the personal assistant side of her life as well.
The perfect candidate has experience with multiples, understands the independence practices afforded by Montessori, and is a calm self-starting presence. The family has a vehicle(SUV) for the nanny to drive while working. Candidate should have a clean driving record and be comfortable driving with the children.
The candidate should be willing to sign an NDA and should also be willing to undergo a drug test by the family. Benefits include PTO + Holidays + Sick days. Start date is ASAP. Pay is $30-35/hr. All vaccines required; tdap, MMR, Covid + Booster.
Qualifications:
BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study
CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)
Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position
A passion for working with children
Two+ years childcare experience
Excellent work and personal references
U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)
Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus
Competent swimmer
Non-smoker
Willing to go through extensive Background Check
Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident
Willingness to show proof of immunizations
No-cell phone driving signed guarantee
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
