We are seeking an IT Systems Engineer III – Remote.  This cybersecurity position will be a part of the IT Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team responsible for device patching, application upgrades including the upgrading of systems to meet our cybersecurity posture, cybersecurity gap analysis based on the acquired location’s IT environment and reporting of operational cybersecurity activities for M&A sites until that site is integrated into standard operations.

Your Impact:
  • Evaluating M&A target cybersecurity posture
  • Identifying and scoring cybersecurity risks and gaps
  • Produce cybersecurity risk and gap remediation recommendation  
  • Patching of workstations and servers
  • Antivirus and other cybersecurity controls monitoring and management
  • Updating Microsoft Tenants and other software/hardware to meet cybersecurity requirements
  • Implement new systems and drive improvements on existing systems
  • Troubleshooting incidents and problems; in-depth performance analysis; determine and implement preventative measures
  • Working knowledge of enterprise backup and storage technologies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft licensing and how it impacts planning and decision-making
  • Ensure systems comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, security and HIPAA regulations and policies
  • Work in a team environment
  • Maintaining documentation for support of applicable systems
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS level education and a minimum of 5 years of related experience – OR – high school diploma and 9 years of related experience
  • 5 years of experience supporting a Windows server environment (Windows 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022)
  • 2 year experience supporting desktop environment (Windows 10 and 11)
  • 1 year experience supporting Linux server environment
  • 1 year experience supporting cloud instances in Azure and AWS
  • 1 year experience supporting network infrastructure
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

  • Self-starter, act on own initiative and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Healthcare and/or financial application experience desired
  • MCSE/MCITP, VCP, Citrix, and/or ITIL certifications are a plus
  • Must have an intermediate level of programming or scripting skills in any language
  • Knowledge of Obsidian a plus.

Pay range of $85,100 to $110,000 + annual bonus: up to 8% of base pay depending on bonus criteria.  This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws.  Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
