POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Funds and services moderate to complex commercial and construction loans, including the review of loan documentation prior to funding.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Familiarity with all of the team’s tasks and responsibilities

  • Ability to train and mentor as directed by manager

  • Ensures effective communications and information sharing throughout the team, with other departments, outside contact, and customers as needed. Seeks ways to improve effectiveness of communications.

  • Ability to problem solve, to clearly understand what an obstacle or problem is, and what tools are available to use to work through to solve the obstacle or problem

  • Ability to manage a project from beginning to end.  Understand the importance of meeting deadlines, clearly communicating areas of concern or need for assistance. 

  • Works closely with the Consumer and Commercial Lending departments to ensure the accurate boarding and servicing of consumer, commercial, and construction loans.

  • Inputs information accurately into the Bank’s core processing system to complete the loan record for funding and servicing.

  • Processes transactions including new loan fundings, advances, paydowns, payoffs, and wires as requested.

  • Perfects the Bank’s security interest for certain consumer loans.

  • Processes renewals, extensions, and modifications for commercial loans as requested.

  • Utilizes reports for tracking and problem solving.

  • Maintains and updates all system records and commercial loan files according to procedures.

  • Presents ideas to the Commercial Loan Operations Manager to improve efficiencies within the Commercial Loan Operations Department.

  • Provides support for branches and internal departments.

  • Adheres to 1st Security Bank of Washington policies and supports management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent related experience, and at least 2 years loan servicing experience within a financial institution or equivalent.
  • Possess strong multitasking and prioritization capabilities.
  • Possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly and accurately.
  • Prior experience with GL and account balancing.
  • Basic knowledge of all applicable regulations that pertain to this position is required.
  • Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures and related programs.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be skilled in the Microsoft Office suite of products, and should have advanced experience with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
