Job description

Direct Counsel is currently seeking to hire a Senior Litigation Attorney to take a lead role in handling catastrophic injury and trucking cases as part of a dynamic national team based in California. Candidates should have jury trial experience and be comfortable taking on a first chair role in all aspects of litigation. This team also has a need for an experienced trial attorney overseeing litigation in other states.

This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with significant litigation experience who are looking to take on a leadership role and significant responsibilities in working as part of a national client services team.

The Position

Qualifications

JD from an ABA accredited law school
Admitted to practice in the State of California
8+ years of personal Injury defense litigation experience
Transportation and logistics, trucking, and related regulatory experience required
Superior analytical skills and ability to navigate novel legal issues
Strong written and oral communication skills
Deposition, law and motion and trial experience required
Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment

Responsibilities

Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
Communicate with clients and provide status reports
Regularly handle court appearances, written discovery, motion practice, depositions, etc.

The annualized salary range for this position is $160,000+.
