About This Role

The Director of Production Architecture will lead, mentor, and grow a team of Project Architects and BIM Technicians. In this role, you will oversee the review of permit construction document sets, ensuring the highest quality standards and timely delivery. This position will partner closely with the VP of Architecture and key leaders at MN Custom Homes. Join us in creating beautiful, luxury homes!

On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include

Leading and empowering the Production Architecture team to meet company success metrics.
Participating in all employee lifecycle activities such as interviewing, onboarding, training, mentoring, and conducting weekly 1-on-1 meetings.
Leading and executing all technical design and document production from design to permit submittal.
Developing and maintaining resource allocation/management system for staff assignments and project deliverables.
Identifying opportunities and driving continuous improvement related to document production quality, completeness, efficiency, standardization, and execution.
Partnering and building strong relationships with team members and key stakeholders.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or other related field is required.
- Registered Professional Architect Washington State is preferred.
10+ years of experience in production-oriented technical architecture.
5+ years of experience leading teams of technical professionals.
Significant experience in wood frame construction is required.
Thorough understanding of building codes and technical architecture best practices.
Ability to produce high-quality architectural documentation.
Advanced Revit and BIM360/ACC/Collaborate Pro skills.
Proven experience balancing multiple competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Passion for leadership, mentorship, and collaboration.

Hours & Compensation

This is a full-time position paying $127,000 – $204,000 + discretionary bonuses. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Individual placement within a salary range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to candidate experience, knowledge, individual, skills, and organizational performance.
