Infrastructure Engineer

Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer 

Job Location: Mission, KS (Remote)

Job Summary: This position will perform administration support for all infrastructure platforms across multiple data centers and campus buildings. The candidate’s primary responsibilities will be over the VMware virtual environment to include several organization and operational applications. They will work closely with existing Infrastructure team members and with the Support, Applications, Training, Quality Assurance, and Security teams in support of all project life cycles in a highly available, scaled environment.

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Infrastructure

Schedule: Generally, Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. This is a remote role. Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.

• Must be willing to participate in video virtual meetings (camera on)

Scope of the Role:

• Contribute in strategic projects to design, deploy, manage and maintain infrastructure systems
• Contribute in identifying, troubleshooting and planning practical solutions to resolve system problems 
• Contribute in evaluating, researching and recommending emerging technology solutions
• Contribute to infrastructure related security concepts and strategies and apply that to ensure systems meet or exceed standards
• Collaborate with vendors and other relevant IT personnel as required in support of enterprise applications and hardware
• Build technology skill proficiencies through continued education and training opportunities in related to areas of responsibility and interest 
• Work to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Provide Tier 3, 24x7 technology support for the organization  
• Maintain and respect all confidential information
• Regular participation in on-call rotation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline, or equivalent related field experience
• SME level technical competency in minimum of 2 of the following infrastructure verticals:
  • Virtualization - VMware Certified Professional, vSphere/Horizon/Hyper-V
  • Compute Technologies – Unified Computing System (UCS), Hyper Converged, Bare Metal Servers
  • Networking/Security – Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), A10, F5, Palo Alto, Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) 
  • Storage/Backup – EMC, NetApp, Nimble, Pure, Data Domain, HP, Hitachi, Veeam, Networker
  • Microsoft Stack – Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), OS, Active Director, SQL, Exchange, O365
  • Database – SQL, Oracle, DB2
  • Linux – Red hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), RedHat, Oracle, Ubuntu
  • Automation/Orchestration – Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Chef
  • Telephony – Avaya, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), Quality of Service (QOS)

Working Conditions:

This position operates in an office environment. Routine use of standard office equipment is required. Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, and expected to occasionally lift, stoop, bend, and reach. Ability to learn and solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions is required.
