Position Title: Support Consultant

Position Overview:
A Support Consultant advises clients on how to best use IT security products when attempting to meet their business objectives or overcome problems, and delivers solutions to meet these objectives.
A support consultant is technically focused with a passion for IT and a solid understanding of information security. This role is ideal for applicants who enjoy working with clients and are eager to learn more about how to deliver solutions for Identity and Access Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second level technical support for our Software as a Service infrastructure
- Provide end-user technical support for applications, support users to address and troubleshoot application issues
- Work with peers to identify and resolve issues and suggest platform enhancements
- Monitor system performance and availability, maintain and update system monitoring in line with best practice
- Configure and maintain system backup schedules
- Perform routine maintenance and patching
- Develop systems automation and scripts to assist in day to day management of the platform
- Configure and maintain systems batch schedules
- Support clients during scheduled change-management activities
- Prepare documentation and present progress reports to customers
Technical Skills & Experience:
Role holders will be expected to have a mix of the following skills and experience:
- Operating Systems
- Scripting / Programming languages
- Shell Scripting
- JavaScript
- Working knowledge of at least three of the following tools (or competitor equivalents) and a conceptual understanding of the remainder:
- Pirean Access: One
- IBM Security Verify Governance
- IBM Security Identity Manager
- IBM Security Verify Access
- IBM Security Directory Server
- IBM Security Directory Integrator
Other desirable skills and experience
- Understanding of RBDMS, LDAP, HTTP Server & Application Server Concepts
- Understanding of system integration techniques, e.g. Web Services, APIs, etc.
- Understanding of Federated SSO technologies, e.g. SAML, OIDC
- Understanding of Enterprise Systems, e.g. SAP, Siebel, Active Directory, Sharepoint, etc.
- Understanding of infrastructure technologies used to support an IAM platform, e.g. backup, centralised logging, SIEM, monitoring, etc.
- Infrastructure Design concepts.
Qualifications
Role holders will be expected to have the following (or similar) qualifications:
- BA or BSc Honours degree
- Various IBM technical certifications in the technologies described above (or competitor equivalents)
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CISSP).
