Job Description

Shift Assignment: Night Shift

Work closely with the E&S Casualty underwriting and actuary teams to intake, organize and analyze submission data to create the most optimal rates for the business unit. We provide a broad array of specialized products and services to the energy industry. These policies generally cover general liability, automobile, umbrella.  

The Underwriting Service Specialist will help underwriters and actuaries analyze insurance submissions. They will review the applicants’ data (the “submission”); clean, organize and capture data such as class, historical exposures, loss runs, pricing, etc. to refine our target rates. This candidate will get a better understanding of how we underwrite and price business. 

  • Review insurance submission documents and data for eligibility and completeness.
  • Organize submission data into categories based on class, exposure, losses, pricing, etc.
  • Work with E&S Casualty underwriters to learn key information we need to collect.
  • Use the information collected from submissions and work with the Actuarial Department to refine target pricing strategy.
