A DAY IN THE LIFE
The Workday Financials Analyst will be responsible for direct supportive care for our Workday user population by solutioning, testing and implementing Workday best practices, maintenance ERP settings and support the daily use of Montrose tenants. This role will support user adoption and changes across all divisions, and ensuring a smooth Workday experience. You’ll need at least 2 years of experience with Workday Financials and welcome the opportunity to make an impact from day one. As a key member of an agile business systems team reporting into the Finance team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Partner with various departments (Finance, Operations, IT) to troubleshoot tier 2 and tier 3 support queries, ensuring timely resolution in accordance with audit requirements
Evaluate system functionality, identify gaps, and make recommendations to prioritize projects, develop business case/proposals for new capabilities/enhancements
Solution, configure, test, implement and maintain Workday enhancements leveraging subject matter expertise
Proactively support projects, manage project risks/issues and provide solutions to relieve system issues
Maintain functional configuration including, but not limited to supplier, customer, project settings, custom validations, condition rules, calculated fields, reports, and dashboards
Continuously interact with Workday Community and help lead the assessment of impact of new Workday features, coordinate rollout, testing and user training
Take an active role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement that delivers scalable and repeatable business processes. Assist with periodic Workday training for the superuser groups in Finance and Operations
Advocate for Workday best practices
Partner with workstream subject matter expert during integration projects
Gather newly acquired organizations requirements and assisting in the configuration and testing of the Workday solution
Support communication and training needs for the organization to effectively leverage our technology solutions within Workday as needed
Testing and troubleshooting system configuration and new functionality
Documenting best practices and standard operating procedures
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
2+ years of experience in Workday Financials configuration (implementation, management and support including business process configuration, security framework, condition rules, calculated fields, reporting and EIB data loads)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred
Strong technical expertise in Workday, including experience in configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Workday Financials components such as Financials, Contracts to Cash, Procure to Pay, Expense Reports, Foreign Currencies
Assessment, analysis, solution design, implementation, testing and change management
Must be comfortable with being a self-starter, have autonomy and manage ambiguity
Ability to collaborate with team members, providing guidance and support on technical issues and best practices
Strong facilitation/presentation skills
Prioritize and multi-task, across simultaneous projects
Thrive in a fast-paced high growth environment
Able to cope with change
Workday certification is highly desirable
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% as needed
