Overview:

Socure, a leader in identity verification technology, seeks an accomplished Vice President of Account Management to join our executive team. As we aim for a significant annual revenue growth, this role will be pivotal in transforming our customer success operations into a robust account management framework. This transformation will focus on strategic customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth through effective upselling.

Over the next 12–18 months, the Vice President of Account Management will be tasked with restructuring the existing customer success framework into a comprehensive account management structure that emphasizes strategic customer engagement. The goal is to enhance the effectiveness of the account management operations, ensuring the team not only supports but also drives significant value for both clients and the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform the current team from a customer success focus to a true account management model. Define new roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics, aiming for full implementation within the first six months.

  • Achieve 35% Year-over-Year Revenue Growth from Existing Accounts: Lead the team to deepen engagement with current clients, driving upsells and cross-sells to contribute to an overall revenue increase.

  • Establish and cultivate relationships with C-level executives across top client accounts, becoming a trusted strategic advisor.

  • Deliver Tailored Solutions that Lead to Upsell Opportunities: Collaborate with engineering, product, and data science teams to develop customized solutions that meet specific client needs and result in measurable upsell opportunities.

  • Influence Product Development with Client Feedback: Serve as a key liaison between the account management and product teams, ensuring client feedback directly influences the product roadmap.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in Strategic Leadership in Account Management and proven ability to lead transformations in account management teams, shifting from support-focused to strategic, proactive engagement and revenue generation.

  • Demonstrable experience in achieving significant revenue growth, particularly through strategic upselling and cross-selling.

  • Exceptional skills in building and maintaining strategic relationships, particularly with C-level executives, to ensure client retention and satisfaction.

  • Experience in optimizing team structures and processes.

  • Advanced Degree in a Relevant Field is preferred. Master’s degree in a relevant field to enhance strategic and analytical abilities.

  • Technical Acumen in AI, ML, and Decision/Rules Engines. Knowledge in these areas to better interface with technical teams and understand product capabilities.

  • Influential Communication and Negotiation Skills

  • Industry-Specific Experience Or Background in Banking, Fintech, Fraud Prevention, AML, KYC, or SaaS is beneficial.

Salary Disclosure:
Base Salary range: $195,000 - $230,000

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity,  comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus. This position is eligible for a generous sales incentive bonus.
