Highland Electric Fleets is a comprehensive turnkey solutions provider that delivers electric school buses (EVSB) to school districts and third-party managed fleet providers (3PMs).

The Director, Project Execution will lead the team responsible for delivery of EVSE infrastructure projects across all markets and geographies. The Director, Project Execution will also drive excellence in Highland’s contractor management, project/construction management, and commissioning/closeout functions.
They will prioritize and lead policy, process, and system initiatives to improve project execution effectiveness and efficiency. The role will report directly to the Vice President, Development and Construction. This role has a 10%-15% travel expectation.
Responsibilities: Ensure the on time and on budget delivery of electric vehicle infrastructure projectsLead the evolution and standardization of project management practiceEstablish project closeout and commissioning center of excellenceDevelop and drive excellence through the preferred contractor programBuild out construction standards and best practicesLead project management software selection and implementationSupport creation of project design specifications and engineering packagesSupport creation of contract execution handoff processesSupport the evaluation of new equipment and software applicationsSupport cross functional efficiency and effectiveness initiativesQualifications10+ years office based professional experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree in technical field and 6+ years office based professional experience6+ years leading teams, both directly and indirectly4+ years leading engineering and construction teams3+ years managing engineering and construction projects2+ years of EV charging infrastructure specific experienceRenewable energy project experience a plus (solar, storage, microgrid)Direct experience utilizing one, and preferably more, project management software toolsWhat You Can Expect from Highland:
