The Salesforce Administrator plays a significant role in the development of Whatnotā€™s Salesforce instance for the Categories and Expansion (CatEx) Team. Working with stakeholders across CatEx, Growth, Data, and Marketing, the Salesforce Administrator is tasked with managing our new Salesforce instance via management of automations, integrations, data hygiene, and sales enablement, as well as maintaining our ongoing environment release schedule. In this role you will:

  • Own all technical aspects of Whatnotā€™s Salesforce environment, including integrations with internal tools, systems configuration and maintenance, notification announcements, environment refresh, and AppExchange products
  • Manage configuration of Salesforce features including user management, security, custom objects, page layouts, validations, workflows, flows, process builders, and other 3rd party applications.
  • Provide frontline support to sales and marketing teamsā€”manage support requests and help troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and optimize their use of Salesforce
  • Provide training, documentation, and processes that enable users to effectively utilize Salesforce
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards to provide insight into marketing and sales performance
  • Develop guardrails to protect data hygiene
  • Work closely with data teams to ensure fidelity and reliability of our data architecture for Salesforce products
  • Work cross functionally with data and engineering teams to develop, manage, and update critical integrations
  • Eliminate manual processes and bottlenecks to reduce user click tracks in the platform

As our next Salesforce Administrator, you should have 4+ years of experience managing Salesforce in a SaaS or tech-driven environment. You:

  • Have strong declarative knowledge of Salesforce backend with a particular focus on flow automation builder
  • Are able to implement deployment best practices, using SF standard change sets, DevOps center or recommend 3rd party SF DevOps tooling
  • Are an A+ communicator, always looping in impacted stakeholders and leadership prior to major deployments
  • Have experience managing multiple 3rd party Salesforce integrations such as VOIP systems, data platforms, and other SaaS tools (e.g. Typeform, Calendly, etc). 
  • Have experienced hyper growth, are comfortable with frequent change, and can implement with minimal oversight
  • Have a demonstrated ability to solve problems using data and process improvements
  • Have the ability to quickly digest the business needs of our stakeholders and apply deep knowledge of Salesforce to recommend and design solutions

For US-based applicants: $100,000/year to $155,000/year + benefits + stock options

The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below) or equity in the form of stock options.
