Sourcing & Supply Chain Project Manager

Position Summary:

Hillenbrand is looking for a Sourcing & Supply Chain Project Manager to join our team remotely. As a Sourcing & Supply Chain Project Manager, you will be responsible for being the central coordination point for sourcing and supply chain related activities to support the enterprise. The project scope includes, but is not limited to spend, supply continuity, risk mitigation, make vs. buy, inventory, working capital, and supplier diversity and performance. 

Work You’ll Do:

• Develop and manage the activities within sourcing workstream, with guidance from the business, center led sourcing category owners, global operations, business development.

• Manage non-sourcing projects such as tool implementation, process improvement where required.

• Establish project governance, create project plans, milestones, capacity planning for sourcing, due diligence, and integration activities.

• Monitor project execution, identifies potential plan discrepancies, set targets and budget, handles effective resolution of any issues. Track team and project metrics with project status updates.

• Critical focus on supply continuity and growth capacity for existing and incoming businesses (identify risks and mitigate risks in supply and value capture).

• Generate and manage projects relative to supporting new product development and design to value – including, but not limited to coordination of all project-specific goods and services.

• Support development and execution of integration project plans for sourcing.

• Conduct category and spend analysis across the enterprise for opportunities, while taking into consideration footprint, vertical integration, end to end supply network for localization and de-risking.

• Lead the supplier selection process through management of formal RFP, RFQ and RFI processes.

• Determine, oversee, and perform the negotiation and contract management of large-scale, enterprise-wide volume purchase agreements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in supply chain, business, or engineering field

• CAPM certification

• 5+ years of experience in project management with large scale change projects, sourcing, and procurement

• Familiar with global sourcing, supplier management, commodity risk management

• Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial reporting

• Global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment (cross-functional and external)

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification

• Certified Scrum Master

• Commercial experience
