Clean Energy Cost Estimator

RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for a Cost Estimator to support the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED)’s mission to deliver clean energy demonstration projects at scale in partnership with the private sector to accelerate deployment, market adoption, and the equitable transition to a decarbonized energy system to join our superior workforce.   

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect and analyze data to assess the time, money, materials, and labor required to make a product or provide a service
• Identify factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, and labor
• Read blueprints and technical documents to prepare estimates
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors
• Calculate, analyze, and adjust estimates
• Recommend ways to cut costs
• Work with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients
• Maintain records of estimated and actual costs

• Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
• 5 years of experience
• Experience in Clean Energy desired  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail, and an understanding of fundamental business writing
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree
