Key responsabilities:

  • Lead the US distribution function for Pierre Fabre Pharmaceuticals USA - Cell Therapy Operations, overseeing identification, negotiation, set-up and operation of US storage, packaging, and distribution partners
  • Manage all aspects of distribution of Pierre Fabre Cell therapy pipeline ensuring on-time product shipments, strategic planning, oversight of ordering process, and compliance to quality standards
  • Support the start-up, management, commercial launch readiness, oversee inventory, set up distribution plans, manage contracts, quality records, and drive continuous improvement through effective leadership

SUMMARY: 

The Director of Distribution will Lead the US Distribution function for Pierre Fabre Pharmaceuticals USA -Cell Therapy Operations. This includes leading the identification, negotiation, set-up and operation of US storage, packaging, and distribution partnerThis role of Director of Distribution will be responsible for US distribution ensuring that all product shipments arrive on time; and will partner within and outside the organization to manage a complex cell therapy Supply Chain and help deliver transformative medicine to patients 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the Director of Distribution will be responsible for all aspects of distribution of Pierre Fabre Cell therapy pipelineWe are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and well-organized professional to join a fast-paced, growing Supply Chain Organization.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Flawless execution in delivering product to patient sites across the US. 

  • Building and owning Pierre Fabre’s distribution strategy and leading and managing cross-functional teams involved in the set-up and operation of distribution activities. 

  • Partner with IT and Distribution partners to configure systems and procedures to ensure commercial launch readiness. 

  • Management of Finished Goods inventory at the CMO and depots, and proactive with preventive actions to avoid potential supply issues 

  • Support the start-up and daily management of distribution plans. 

  • Key Relationship lead with storage and distribution partners as part of Supplier Relationship Program 

  • Leverages tools and systems to ensure compliance and improve efficiencies, driving process improvements to ensure efficient, reliable supply of commercial product 

  • Ensuring adherence to good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and providing industry best practices for clinical phase and commercial cell therapies 

  • Oversee systems and processes from order receipt, to order fulfillment, to the delivery and receipt at patient site of careDefine and document processes, metrics, and the governance necessary to ensure oversight of distribution activities. 

  • Management of contracts, Purchase Order management and budgeting 

  • Oversight of departmental Quality Records to ensure compliance 

  • Manages departments Key Performance Indicators and Dashboard 

  • Provide leadership to staff through coaching and employee development to drive a culture that is focused on delivering exceptional results and continuous improvement. 

  • Other duties as required by the Business 

 

COMPETENCIES: 

  • Excellent Project Management skills and ability to clearly articulate project status 

  • Ability to communicate and articulate status cross-functionally 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

  • Ability to travel as needed to support on-site distribution network activation and oversight. 

  • Ability to travel to corporate sites as needed to support operations. 

  • Well organized with right first-time orientation 

  • Strong communication and negotiating skills, and experience with contracts 

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint 

  • Cross-functional communication and Project Management skills  

  • Knowledge of cGMP’s and regulatory guidance 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field and 10+ years of related biopharmaceutical GMP work experience or Master’s degree and 8+ years of work experience, MBA preferred 

  • 5 years of Distribution / Logistics experience 

  • Previous experience in cell or gene therapy desired 

  • Six Sigma Lean Green Belt and/or APICs certification preferred
