Senior Backend Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with the CEO and CTO to develop our core product offering and contribute to team expansion.

Requirements

Experience We Look For:

1. Proficiency in Python, with experience in FastAPI (preferable) or Flask/Django.
2. Competence in setting up and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS (preferable) or other cloud services, utilizing Docker and Terraform.
3. Knowledge of various datastores including NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Graph databases, as well as storage services like EBS, EFS, and S3.
4. Experience in MLOps, including setting up monitoring and scaling LLM/ML model deployments.
5. Familiarity with compliance standards, with prior experience in writing SOC2 controls.

General Preferences:

1. Prior experience working in startup environments.
2. Competency in competitive programming.
3. Engagement in side projects, particularly those related to AI.

Key Responsibilities:

1. LLM Deployment: Deploying LLMs in production environments, fine-tuning foundational LLMs, and experimenting with search techniques.
2. API Development: Developing a deep understanding of APIs and integrating them with LLMs to enhance functionality.
3. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Overseeing and managing cloud infrastructure to support backend operations and ensure scalability.
4. Compliance Initiatives: Spearheading compliance efforts by establishing and maintaining necessary controls to ensure regulatory adherence.
