Job Description**
As a Paralegal, you'll play a vital role in supporting the development of utility-scale solar power plants. We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting chance to contribute to solar project development, finance, construction, asset management, and compliance functions within our organization. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel of Solar Generation, you'll have a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of solar projects while adhering to legal and regulatory standards. **
Responsibilities**
Solar Project Development Support:
Conduct real estate diligence, including reviewing title searches, zoning analysis, and environmental assessments.
Prepare and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to project development.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet development milestones.
Establish and maintain legal entities for the division, including LLC formation and maintenance. **
Project Finance, Tax Equity, And Construction Support**
Organize and maintain project finance documentation, including tax equity agreements.
Assist in due diligence related to project financing and tax equity investments.
Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations during the construction phase. **
Asset Management And Compliance**
Manage project-related entities such as limited liability companies (LLCs).
Support compliance efforts by maintaining legal and regulatory records.
Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends. **
Contract Management**
Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms. **
Ensure Contracts Comply With Legal Requirements And Company Policies.**
Resolve contract-related issues or disputes. **
Qualifications And Skills**
Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in renewable energy or related areas.
Strong understanding of real estate transactions, contract management, and legal compliance.
Knowledge of project finance, tax equity, and construction concepts is advantageous.
Familiarity with LLC management and compliance is a plus.
Excellent organizational, time management, research, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in legal research tools, document management systems, and MS Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
