About the Role

A typical day in the Wavehouse is undefined. Most days, we are looking for the Creative Intern to artistically document what takes place in our creative studio.  Photos and note taking will be a primary focus, as well as scanning any collage works created in the studio.  The Creative Intern will also help us maintain the vibe and cleanliness at the Wavehouse, which contains a world-class collection of vintage magazines, books, postcards, and other artifacts.

Accountabilities
  • Design Support: Support the visual development of our brands through graphic and brand design.
  • Catalog Artifacts: Scan artifacts, such as collages, postcards, magazines, etc.
  • Creation Support: Support the creation of collage and various other artistic projects.
  • Errands: Pick up mail, office supplies, and other various errands, as necessary.
  • Office Support: Help to maintain the cleanliness of the office, water houseplants, etc.
  • Documentation: Capture photos in and around the space using a phone, DSLR, and/or film camera.  Take notes, as advised.

  • Patience, dedication and attention to detail
  • Effective time-management and self-management skills
  • Understanding of social media (ability to make Reels/TikToks are a plus)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom (required), Illustrator (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Figma (preferred)
  • Ability to commute to Newport Beach office a minimum of 1 day per week (required)
