You’ll be working within Operational Enablement’s Ops Readiness & Benefits team, within OVO Retail.  You will be at the heart of enabling the transformation to a digital at scale, customer centric business with intelligent operations powered by unified, modern technology. You’ll champion customer excellence and be empowered to make a difference on a global scale through enabling our Plan Zero objectives.

 

This role in a nutshell:

We are looking for an experienced & creative Readiness Manager to join our supportive function within Operational Shared Services.  You will have extensive experience of planning and designing complex projects and proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action. You’ll back this up with excellent stakeholder management and a genuine talent and a passion for problem solving.

 

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Taking complete ownership of your workstream; delivering at speed but never compromising on quality
  • Managing and building trusting relationships with stakeholders from entry-level to C-level
  • Budget management 
  • Managing budgets, risks and issues
  • Identify benefit opportunities and track these throughout projects 
  • Business readiness and transition to a stable BAU environment
  • Bringing the best of OVO’s wealth of talented individuals to mobilise highly effective delivery teams
  • Working with the internal partners to test and implement new working practices, frameworks and techniques -  shaping working practices, tooling and bringing best practice thinking into the team
  • Bringing highly creative and new ideas forward

Within your first 6 months month you’ll:

  • Have managed multiple complex projects
  • Be comfortable presenting to Director level
  • Know how to manage shrinkage allowances
  • Be able to present priority decisions to key stakeholder Attended at least 1 Big Room Planning Event

You’ll be a successful Ops Readiness Manager here at OVO if you have…

  • The ability to manage multiple complex projects end to end, selecting the most appropriate project management tools
  • Experience of leadership across functional teams 
  • Outstanding communication skills, with extensive experience in influencing key project decisions with sponsors and stakeholders
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills, specifically enabling stakeholders to align quickly around project objectives
  • The ability to simplify complexity / readily identify opportunities and translate this into strategic decisions and recommendations
  • Experience of and aptitude for working within a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • A desire to champion and demonstrate continuous improvement through the project lifecycle
  • The ability to meaningfully and appropriately challenge, but commit wholly once a decision is made
  • The ability to time-manage and prioritise workload
  • The tenacity to go that extra mile for your customer(s)
  • A curious mindset - open to new possibilities and a desire to actively explore them 
  • A growth mindset with a passion for learning and continued development
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching to develop colleagues
  • Expert knowledge in Agile theory, principles and techniques, and experience with applying Agile to a variety of projects

We’ll pay you between £35,000 and £45,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
