Description & Requirements

FORVIS is currently seeking a Cost Segregation Senior Consultant to join the cost segregation team. Cost Segregation is a commonly used strategic tax planning tool that allows companies and individuals who have constructed, purchased, expanded, or remodeled any kind of real estate to increase cash flow by accelerating depreciation deductions and deferring federal and state income taxes. **

How You Will Contribute**

  • Review construction invoices to identify and categorize cost items

  • Become proficient in the use of construction cost-estimating guides and software

  • Inspect client facilitates to document the use and condition of buildings

  • Analyze construction cost ledgers, contractor payment applications and other cost documentation to reconcile to accounting records

  • Perform engineering analysis of building assets from blueprints and site inspection

  • Estimate construction costs using costing manuals

  • Delivering FORVIS' commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 2 to 4 years of construction experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Construction Management

  • Experience in a professional services firm

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
