Your missions

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and streamline policies, processes, and boarding procedures, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Sales to facilitate seamless collaboration.
  • Contribute significantly to both internal and external audits under the guidance of the Risk Director.
  • Evaluate and underwrite new merchant account applications in adherence to company standards.
  • Assess ongoing risk and due diligence requirements for newly onboarded customers, aligning with enterprise policies.
  • Utilize transaction data analysis to detect fraud, credit, and compliance risks, and implement necessary risk-mitigating actions.
  • Perform comprehensive due diligence on accounts flagged in transaction monitoring, chargeback activity, AML, fraud, and sanctions reports.
  • Document risk decisions with supporting evidence and document risk mitigation actions taken.
  • Complete Suspicious Activity Reports accurately and in a timely manner

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience on a risk team with a focus on merchant account underwriting, BSA/AML principles, fraud investigations, and suspicious activity reporting.
  • Thorough understanding of merchant underwriting best practices, including KYC, KYB, AML, and OFAC requirements.
  • Familiarity with card brands, NACHA, and compliance regulations applicable to sponsored direct merchant accounts and Payment Facilitators.
  • Knowledge of compliance obligations for merchant acquiring platforms.

Bonus Qualifications

  • CAMS, CFE, and/or CFCS certification.
  • Experience working in risk at a merchant acquiring: direct to merchant or PayFac.

Salary: $120,000 - $170,000 depending on experience
