TMHCC – Supplemental Health, a new and innovative division within TMHCC, is based out of Birmingham, AL and leads the way in providing employer sponsored limited medical benefit plans. Join us as a Sales Representative for the Mid-West Region managing Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa. This is a hybrid or fully remote position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new business with Agents/Brokers
Maintain and grow relationships with existing brokers
Conduct sales calls to cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships.
Develop the skills to be able to evaluate risk acceptability within established guidelines and set appropriate rates and factor levels.
Negotiate fees with clients to close new and renewal business
Learn department underwriting procedures from underwriting staff and manual
Support underwriting in compilation and processing of quote requests in a timely manner.
Communicate with Brokers, within scope of ability, to answer questions, explain decisions, and build and maintain productive relationships. Respond appropriately and in a timely manner to service requests. Refer problems to the appropriate department.
Assist the department in meeting annual company goals for profitability, renewal retention, revenue growth, and new business production.
Knowledge, Skills and Requirements
4 years Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred Requirements:
Insurance Industry experience
Customer Service or Sales experience
