Project Manager (Japan)

We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager to join our team in Tokyo, Japan.  In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our business objectives by providing expert analysis and guidance on global and regional payment schemes.  You will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of our business strategy and translating that knowledge into actionable plans for optimizing our payment processes.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage your in-depth knowledge of SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS (including regional variants like MEPZ+, RENTAS, BhatNet, BI-RTGS, CHATS), and RTP (Real-time payments) & clearing to provide expert advice and analysis.
  
• Demonstrate strong experience with a leading payments platform (e.g., GPP, FIS OPF, Finacle enterprise payments, Temenos payments, Fiserv, Oracle payment solution, ACI enterprise, Access Pay) to ensure seamless integration and optimization.
  
• Partner with stakeholders across the organization to develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance our payment efficiency and effectiveness.
  
• Proactively manage assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Business Cases, user test scripts, and adherence to defined standards.
  
• Continuously improve user experience by providing valuable input on test script development and execution.
  
• Foster a collaborative environment and contribute to achieving high levels of satisfaction within the Business Unit regarding IT services.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the payments industry.
  
• Demonstrated expertise in SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS (including regional variants mentioned above), and RTP (Real-time payments) & clearing.
  
• Proven experience working with a leading payments platform (e.g., GPP, FIS OPF, Finacle enterprise payments, Temenos payments, Fiserv, Oracle payment solution, ACI enterprise, Access Pay).
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  

Desired Skills:

• Experience working in the Japanese business landscape (a plus).
  
• Experience in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
