Summary 
This job posting is to join our amazing Operations team in the 2024-25 school year! We are beginning to collect applications from candidates and will start the hiring process for specific roles as our team grows and needs emerge in 2024. If you are interested in joining our team, apply now!

Responsibilities Vary Based on role. Examples below:

  • Maintain physical and computerized records including student cumulative folders, progress, and failure reports, class rosters, schedule changes, and grade books
  • Ensure the daily maintenance of accurate paper-based and computer-based student records following local procedures, state and federal requirements for funding and accountability
  • Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folders, and entering student data into appropriate databases.
  • Process and transmit requests for student information, including student transcripts for colleges and universities
  • Provide academic status reports such as honor roll, failure reports, or others as requested by campus leadership
  • And whatever else may come up daily

Technology Skills 

Competence in Microsoft Office applications and ability to use a variety of computer applications and platforms. Ability to use basic office equipment. Knowledge and experience in using a computer-based student Information Management system. Teachers will use regularly leverage our online curriculum to drive student learning.

Safety Duties & Responsibilities

Physical Demands

  • Exerts 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
  • Exerts 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
  • Prolonged periods of working on a computer.
  • Sufficient vision to read printed material, see distant objects with clarity, and identify and distinguish objects.
  • Sufficient hearing to hear conversations in person and on the telephone, and hear sounds clearly up to 20 feet.
  • Ability to speak English  in an understandable voice with sufficient volume to be heard in normal conversation and on the telephone, and in addressing groups.
  • Requires occasional or frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time.
  • The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and is generally a hazard free environment.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Required
  • Masters degree Preferred
  • Missouri Substitute Certification Required
  • Valid Missouri Teacher Certification content specific to role applied for, Strongly Preferred or willingness to become certified ASAP.
  • 3+ years of teaching experience Preferred
  • Satisfactory completion of criminal records check, pre-hire and annually thereafter, if applicable.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization.

Schedule:

  • In-person teaching Monday through Friday 7:30am 4:00pm 
    • Some weekends and evenings will be required 

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Saint Louis, MO 63118: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required). Please note, this is not a remote position. All Kairos teachers are required to deliver in-person instruction onsite, in our school in St. Louis.
