What does a “day in the life” of my new team look like?You will be responsible for the PSR Supplier Management Framework and relevant suppliers and will be ultimately responsible and accountable for maintaining a fit for purpose and compliant supply chain to drive a high performing service that ensures Customer satisfaction; such that PSR becomes the Framework of choice across Contracting Authorities in the Public Sector.You will lead a team initially supporting 3 supply chains with differing business drivers and stages of maturity; covering the provision of Contingent Labour and Professional Services Procurement and Recruit Train Deploy (RTD). In addition, net new service lines may be included.

Key Accountabilities - Managing the organisational design of the supplier management team; ensuring clear mission and objectives to all team members - Working in collaboration with the Client Director and Client Operations Directors on business requirements and fulfilment - Creating, maintaining and innovating a robust Supplier Management Framework; ensuring - the supply chain has sufficient suppliers to meet in scope requirements across all service lines - Ongoing management of Supplier performance, acting upon escalations and addressing underperformance - Responsible for managing Suppliers who are delivering outside of their obligations - Collaborating with broader PSR teams to ensure service coverage of disciplines and client geographies - Market engagement for the identification of new Suppliers if there are gaps in the supply chain - Oversight of commercial and contractual negotiations for all new Suppliers if gaps have been identified - New Supplier onboarding and training, plus addressing any additional training requirements - Conducting regular supply chain reviews - Supplier communication and engagement to enable suppliers to meet the requirements of Contracting Authorities - First point of contact for contractual or governance queries from Suppliers or the Contracting Authorities in relation to the supply chain structure - Leading development of the provision of Business Intelligence from Power BI in relation to the supply chain or Supplier performance (Delivered by the BI team) - Evaluating cost saving opportunities through benchmarking, renegotiation and volume leverage, within the parameters of the PSR Framework - Working in conjunction with Crown Commercial Services on supplier management and performance measures -

Additionally, you will provide line management and leadership to your team, driving engagement, retention and well-being. You will role model the AMS behaviours, drive succession planning and team/leadership development. You will provide pastoral support and manage your team’s performance through ongoing quality conversations to ensure efficient delivery and an excellent client and candidate experience. You will report to the SOW Client Operations Director.

What do I need to succeed in this role?

Must haves:__ - Significant experience working with Professional Services and Contingent Workforce Suppliers - Significant experience in Supplier Management best practice principles - A thorough understanding of Public Sector and legislation affecting CWS & SOW areas of work and ability to guide and advise the team on legislation - A solid understanding of complex contract theory and structure - Demonstration of both operational know how and commercial acumen - Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with deep understanding of the Professional Services and Contingent Workforce marketplace - Experience of providing performance management information to clients and suppliers alike - Previous experience managing multiple supplier and stakeholder relationships, in particular, being able to manage stakeholders with opposing agendas - Holds IACCM (International Association for Contract & Commercial Management) or CIPS (Chartered Institute Procurement & Supply) or relevant industry accreditation will be beneficial - Agile in response to change or uncertainty - able to cope with and lead a team and client through change

Who will I be working with?AMS has recently been awarded the new Workforce Solutions Framework (WSF), a notable renewal and expansion with the UK government to run the new version of the Public Sector Resourcing (PSR) programme until 2030.

There will be a significant expansion of the contract from three service lines to eight, with a series of feature enhancements for the benefit of the workers, suppliers, and users of the service. We are building on the foundations of the existing PSR team and infrastructure to deliver this 6 year contract which spans over 140 customers and we are delighted to announce a number of new opportunities to support this.
