Job Description Summary
The Supplier Planning Leader is responsible for working closely with strategic suppliers to develop and maintain capacity models, ensuring that supplier capabilities align with company demand. This role involves providing visibility into potential resource over-utilization, analyzing forecast impacts, and collaborating cross-functionally with site planning and sourcing teams. This position will play a crucial role in assessing the executability of demand based on supplier capabilities, driving continuous improvement, and mitigating supply risks.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capacity Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed capacity models for assigned strategic suppliers, providing insights into potential over-utilization and areas of concern.
  • Forecast Impact Analysis: Ensure that forecast changes are accurately reflected in supplier capacity plans, providing early warnings of potential issues and working to mitigate risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with site planning teams, sourcing, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of supplier capabilities and constraints. Facilitate communication between internal teams and suppliers to align on capacity and demand expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify and proactively address potential supply chain disruptions by evaluating supplier performance against demand forecasts. Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks associated with over-utilization or capacity shortfalls.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track and report on supplier performance metrics, including capacity utilization, lead times, and on-time delivery. Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance their capabilities and meet company standards.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal teams to refine and improve supplier planning processes, ensuring that they are aligned with overall supply chain strategies.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on supplier performance, capacity utilization, and forecast accuracy. Present findings to stakeholders and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (OR 6-10 years of equivalent experience in supply chain planning, supplier management, or a related role, preferably within the manufacturing or power generation industry)
  • 3-5 years experience in supply chain planning, supplier management, or a related role, preferably within the manufacturing or power generation industry

Eligibility Requirements

  • Willing and able to travel up to 20% both domestically and / or internationally

Certifications

  • APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or similar is a plus

For US Applicants:

The base pay range for this position is $90.4K - $110K. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 9/10/2024.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
