We are seeking a highly motivated Insurance Verification Coordinator to join our Registration team.

This job can be performed 100% remotely and out of state candidates will be considered.

The Insurance Verification Coordinator will perform verification on accounts received from registration interfaces, patient letters, and patient information forms as well as perform charge entry. The individual in this position will process manual registrations in various systems and/ or update patient profiles and accounts from information received through different source documents. Perform manual charge entry within targeted timeframe, ensure charge information is correct and accurate. Obtain and track missing information needed for charges, identify common issues or trends which may affect claims and payments and promptly report them to supervisors. Verify insurance eligibility at the visit level via internet web sources, phone, fax and other resources. Process registration related edits to ensure accurate billing of patient account. Verify and edit demographic and insurance information. Update accurately into proper financial class at the registration, visit and transaction levels. Maintain accurate and up to date knowledge of insurance, financial status classes and Registration policy and procedures. Demonstrate ability to balance competing priorities, deadlines and fluctuating volumes and cross cover as needed within the team.

Requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a medical billing/insurance setting. Must be able to type at least 40 wpm and have good use of 10-key. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet usage, and web navigation is critical. High level customer service skills and the ability to work and communicate with diversified internal and external customers effectively via phone, email, and in person are essential. Must be able to work as a team player and maintain positive working relationships**
